“This year was definitely my breakout year,” says the young producer — a process kick-started by Jack U (Diplo and Skrillex’s collaboration) dropping 3Lau’s collaboration with Botnek, ‘Vikings’, at Ultra in March. But though 3Lau immediately proved he can lay down a club banger, he also showed he can write an engaging melody, with the acoustic version of his club track ‘How You Love Me’ with vocalist Bright Lights.
