Best known for: “Pioneering a unique fusion of Eastern melodies and Western electronic beats, creating iconic festival anthems that resonate globally.”

Aryue’s star continues to rise. Best known for his energetic takes on big room, future rave, and techno, the DJ and producer also made his name by pulling from traditional influences, fusing eastern melodies with cutting-edge music production. He’s been a big name in China’s electronic music scene for a while now — a testament to over 20 years honing his craft — but in 2020 he made his first appearance in the Top 100 DJs poll, where he’s remained ever since. Music collabs with superstars like Snoop Dogg and releases on Sony, Armada Music and Revealed Recordings soon followed, bringing Aryue a wider fanbase.

In 2024, the Dragon Records label head continued to tour the world, with sets at EDC China, Viva Braslav, S2O Hong Kong and Ultra Europe. He also continued to evolve his sound, dropping cuts like ‘OTT (123)’, ‘Undisputed’, ‘Come Back’ and ‘Throw Down’, demonstrating a new musical energy. He’s also been busy building a community, platforming up-and coming talent through his label. No longer a new name, but an established artist on the global scene, Aryue’s output has grown from strength to strength every year.

Faustix

From:Denmark

DJ style: “Big techno.”

Best known for: “Collaboration with Diplo, Faustix, Imanos and Kai called ‘Revolution’.”

Everything about 2024 was big and bold for Faustix. The Danish dance music lifer found a new sound over the course of the past year, where ropey and dramatic arpeggios dart in and out of brash techno kicks and every drop feels like barreling down a dopamine rollercoaster. Each release seemed to push the envelope further and further — from the soaring emotions of ‘Lead Me To Love You’ with vocalist Mougleta to ‘All My Friends Are Hot’, whose cheeky vocal flip (“All my friends are hot and only listen to techno”) was the perfect summer festival anthem. Add to that a teased remix of Belgian Stromae ‘Alors on danse’ and it’s clear that 2024 was, without a doubt, the year Faustix found a whole new groove.

While he’s certainly been busy in the studio, Faustix has also played everywhere — from 13,000 person raves in the middle of Copenhagen to gigs on the Faroe Islands. Faustix, in other words, hasn’t taken his foot off the gas for even a second. And, with each gig and release, he is testament to how much people still love pumping, hard-edged techno.
