DubVision

From:The Netherlands

DJ style:“Progressive, big melodies and euphoric anthems.”

Best known for:“Progressive house anthem ‘Turn It Around’ as well as recent hits ‘Anywhere With You’ and ‘Starlight (Keep Me Afloat)’.”

DubVision, the Dutch duo made up of brothers Stephan and Victor Leicher, spent much of this year working hard on a new album which came alongside an all new A/V show. “It features 100% DubVision music and an interactive visual-show connected to our new music,” they tell DJ Mag. “We believe in giving our fans a total experience of our musical journey, where the show element has become as important as the music and the reactions have been amazing.”

The album, ‘Another World’, is a 12-track body of work that gives fans a good impression of what that live show represents, and even the artwork offers a sneak peak of the visuals on display during the full show experience. “We have kept making the music close to our hearts,” they say of their studio work. “We tried to incorporate new sounds, techniques, different vocals to go with music trends throughout the years. We kept believing in the progressive sound and so now we’re super excited to represent it in the DJ Mag Top 100!”

‘Another World Deluxe’ is a follow-up long-player that will arrive soon and is filled with festival edits of the first album “as well as with some exciting new music”.

From:Denmark

DJ style: “Big techno.”

Best known for: “Collaboration with Diplo, Faustix, Imanos and Kai called ‘Revolution’.”

Everything about 2024 was big and bold for Faustix. The Danish dance music lifer found a new sound over the course of the past year, where ropey and dramatic arpeggios dart in and out of brash techno kicks and every drop feels like barreling down a dopamine rollercoaster. Each release seemed to push the envelope further and further — from the soaring emotions of ‘Lead Me To Love You’ with vocalist Mougleta to ‘All My Friends Are Hot’, whose cheeky vocal flip (“All my friends are hot and only listen to techno”) was the perfect summer festival anthem. Add to that a teased remix of Belgian Stromae ‘Alors on danse’ and it’s clear that 2024 was, without a doubt, the year Faustix found a whole new groove.

While he’s certainly been busy in the studio, Faustix has also played everywhere — from 13,000 person raves in the middle of Copenhagen to gigs on the Faroe Islands. Faustix, in other words, hasn’t taken his foot off the gas for even a second. And, with each gig and release, he is testament to how much people still love pumping, hard-edged techno.
