From:Berlin, Germany
DJ style:Prog house and techno
Best known for:‘Move’, label parties, brand ubiquity
Keinemusik (Rampa, &Me and Adam Port) bulldoze into the Top 100 DJs poll as a new entry at No. 35 during a year that has seen them go stratospheric with their distinctive sound of proggy and Afro house and techno. Starting out as a Berlin-based collective in 2009 — made up of Rampa, &Me and Adam Port, as well as Reznik and creative director, Monja — the name actually incorporates a label, parties, a radio show and merch line that has included collaborations with Nike and Converse. The imprint dropped release number 69 earlier this year by way of Adam Port and Stryv’s ‘Move’, featuring Malachiii, which has clocked up a massive 270m streams on Spotify and 29m views on YouTube at the time of writing.
Translating to “no music” in German, Keinemusik’s tour schedule has been no less mammoth, playing a relentless run of events on the world’s biggest dancefloors, which has included a performance in front of a huge crowd at the Giza Pyramids in Egypt, a slot on Tomorrowland’s LIFE Mainstage, and a summer that culminated with a Hï Ibiza takeover for the club’s huge closing party in October that was announced before the season had even started.
