Pink Panda

From:UK

DJ style:“Bounce, mainstage and tech-house.”

Best known for:“Making bangers and touring the world in a panda mask.”

Honing an ability to hop, skip and jump from major league productions and remix duties — for the likes of Dua Lipa, Britney Spears and Elton John — to hitting the dancefloor with classic anthem belters, it’s the recipe that’s helped to put the Pink Panda alliance in the Top 100 DJs poll once again. “It’s been an incredibly busy year. We’ve been touring extensively in Asia and playing at some amazing venues,” the collective tell DJ Mag from behind their now iconic mask.

This year has seen the excitable outfit maintain their mystery and anonymity while continuing to apply their joyful, high-energy vibes to collaborations and own productions across the board. They’ve been working on refining their sound for ‘bounce and mainstage’ and admit to ‘totally loving’ the process. “A major highlight of the year was releasing ‘Set You Free’ on CR2 Records with the legendary Benny Benassi and Alle Farben.” Several tracks for future release are on the cards and they promise that a new EP, ‘Sounds Of Eden’ on Showtek’s Skink Records, will be dropping soon.

DJ style:“Melodic house / house.”

Best known for:“‘Piece Of Your Heart’, ‘Lose Control’, ‘Paradise’ and some other songs.”

Luca Gregorio, Mattia Vitale, and Simone Giani form MEDUZA. The trio’s pop-tinged house music tracks have gained them a devoted fan base worldwide, surmounted countless listens across all the streaming platforms, made daytime radio and stormed official chart positions across the globe. With effortlessly catchy vocals by the likes of Becky Hill, Goodboys and Dermot Kennedy, their productions delve into the worlds of pop and dance in equal measure. Their debut single ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ was released in 2019: an instant hit that shot them to fame, they’ve been unstoppable ever since. Their first release of this year was the single ‘Dola re Dola’, featuring Varun Jain and was a tribute to the Bollywood film Devdas. ‘Money (Can’t Save Us)’ featuring NY-born artist Alec Monopoly soon followed, and most recently for MEDUZA’s latest single ‘Another World’ they teamed up with British singer and songwriter HAYLA. In the live sphere, it’s often Vitale that takes the stage behind the decks, with sets designed for the peak time with plenty of snare rolls, euphoric breakdowns, trance basslines and the occasional sound of 303 acid.
