Pen Festival, Papaya, Ministry of Sound, Neversea, Sunrise, Parookaville, Untold, X-Demon. We could go on. Tujamo’s summer has been packed with festivals and world class clubs, another five months on the road after more than a decade in the game. But 2024 has been a big one for the German electro-house artist well beyond the size of the stages he’s graced during a relentless period for live shows. Enter City Star Records, a label several years in the making which will now provide a platform for his latest productions.
And there are plenty waiting in the wings, with Tujamo proudly explaining to DJ Mag that he reckons he has about 50 or so unreleased tracks finished and ready to roll – a number that betrays his work ethic, and how long he has spent preparing to unveil the imprint. Not that we’ve been short of new music from the man in question, with that Limonade and Dre Island collaboration, ‘Higher’, the most recent title to grace our playlist. Before that we had ‘Lonely People’ with Nathan C and Busy Reno, with the subsequent remix competition inspiring an army of aspiring producers to jump in feet first for their shot at the title.
Fave tune of 2024?
“‘Get Lucky (Fat Tony remix)’.”
