Recorded in the studios of Turin based record company, Bliss Corporation, with Eiffel 65’s other founding members, Jeffrey Jey and Maurizio Lobina, Ponte recalls how the now-iconic single didn’t make an immediate impact upon its initial release.

He explains how radio support eventually helped turn the track into a number one single in at least 18 countries. Eiffel 65 went on to tour the world, with ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’ going on to become one of the biggest-selling singles of 1999.

Ponte recalls how, in the years since, the track has taken on a life of its own, from being featured in the soundtrack for Marvel’s Iron Man 3, to being reinterpreted and covered by artists including Flo Rida, Swedish singer Nea, and Italian rapper Shiva, as well as David Guetta and Bebe Rexha on their hit, ‘I’m Good (Blue)’.
