It’s hard to guess what Blasterjaxx might do next. The duo from the Hague have quickly made themselves ubiquitous in the EDM circuit, thanks to their trademark brand of melodic and technicolour dance music sweetened with just the right amount of vocal syrup. But that doesn’t mean they are ones to be pigeonholed.

It’s been five years since the two broke out with their world-conquering calling card, ‘Narco’ (with Timmy Trumpet). Over the course of the last two years, the two have released over 40 tracks, including ‘God Mode’, a soaring, building track that was Futsal’s official 2022 theme song, and the bouncy, hyperpop-referencing ‘Hurricane’ alongside vocalist SHIBUI. With each of these releases moving from strength-to-strength, it’s hard to imagine they have time to do much else, but the two are tireless champions of other producers as they head their label Maxximize. The only thing that can match their staggering output in the studio is their touring schedule, as the duo have been travelling the world with their energetic live sets.

After finishing just outside of the Top 100 in 2021, this year German DJ and producer Cuebrick breaks in for the first time this year. He now sits at the top table of global dance music after standout shows everywhere from Los Angeles to San Francisco, Singapore to Bangkok.

While releasing big tunes on labels like Spinnin Records, Armada and Ultra Music, he also works as a radio-host on bigFM’s nitroX show, which is the biggest radio platform for electronic music in Germany.

This year he has worked on a new sound which he says “can best be described as a fusion of different elements from genres such as techno, hard techno, and trance. Hard techno kicks are the foundation, with classic trance synthesizers.” It’s a sound that has seemingly connected with fans, who will be pleased to learn Cuebrick has signed a deal meaning “Smash the House will be the main home for my music for at least the next two years.”
